Payroll Accountant (Remote)

Who you are

You have 2-5 years of experience processing payroll and accounts payable, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll functions. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing payrolls for a global organization, ensuring compliance with various regulations and policies. Your experience includes handling contractor invoices and expense reimbursements, showcasing your ability to work cross-functionally with Accounting and HR teams. You are comfortable using payroll systems and have a knack for resolving payment issues efficiently.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage and process payrolls for a global organization, including semi-monthly payrolls for the US and Canada, as well as monthly payrolls for international locations such as Germany, India, Canada, Ireland, and the UK. You will maintain accurate employment and banking details in relevant systems, ensuring that all invoices for over 200 contractors are processed accurately and paid on time. You will also audit expense reports to ensure compliance with travel and expense policies, coordinating with the payroll provider to resolve any US payroll-related tax notices. Additionally, you will record journal entries for payroll-related cash transactions and prepare payroll-related accruals and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
