Datadog is hiring a Software Engineer for their Developer Experience team to enhance software lifecycle management. You'll work with Java, Python, or Go to build features that improve developer experience. This role requires 4+ years of backend engineering experience.
You have 4+ years of experience in backend engineering, ideally in a fast-paced environment where you've built and maintained production systems. You take pride in solving problems for your customers and can proactively identify their needs and pain points. Your experience includes working with languages such as Java, Python, or Go, and you have a strong understanding of software lifecycle management. You thrive in collaborative settings and value the relationships built through teamwork. You are self-motivated and enjoy taking ownership of your work, delivering high-quality features that make a significant impact.
Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices would be a plus, as would familiarity with agile methodologies. You are comfortable leading architectural decisions and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to code quality and system performance.
As a Software Engineer on the Dependency Management team, you will design, implement, and support key components of Datadog's platform. You will write a significant amount of code and lead architectural decisions for both new and existing services.
