SpaceX is hiring a Machine Maintenance Technician for the Starlink project to perform maintenance and repairs on production line equipment. This role requires hands-on technical skills and offers the opportunity to impact the development of broadband internet systems.
You are a skilled technician with a strong background in maintaining and repairing complex machinery. You have experience with various manufacturing processes and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and problem-solving abilities enable you to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience in a manufacturing or technical role is a plus, particularly in environments involving electroplating, chemical etching, or PCB assembly. Familiarity with automated systems and process validation will set you apart as a candidate. A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies is highly valued.
As a Machine Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing both planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on production line equipment. This includes working with systems such as copper electroplating, chemical etching, ultrapure process water treatment, solder mask printing, automated laser and mechanical drilling, and plasma etching. You will take ownership of specific process areas, ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and reliably. Your role will involve collaborating closely with engineering teams to develop and validate new equipment and processes, contributing directly to the success of the Starlink project.
You will participate in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, documenting maintenance activities, and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity. Your insights will help shape the quality and reliability of the products manufactured, impacting the overall user experience of Starlink's broadband services. You will also engage in continuous learning to stay updated on the latest technologies and maintenance practices relevant to your role.
