Network Security Architect

Who you are

You have a strong background in network architecture with at least 5 years of experience designing and implementing secure network infrastructures. Your expertise includes working with Cisco technologies and ensuring the resilience and security of network platforms. You are skilled in producing high-quality design documentation, including high-level designs (HLDs) and low-level designs (LLDs), and you understand the importance of governance in technical service design reviews.

You are familiar with modern security practices and have experience leading major network transformation initiatives. Your ability to collaborate with security, infrastructure, and operations teams allows you to deliver scalable network solutions that support business growth and regulatory compliance. You are detail-oriented and committed to optimizing network performance while maintaining security standards.

Desirable

Experience with cloud technologies and managed services is a plus, as is familiarity with automation tools that enhance network management. You are proactive in your approach and enjoy staying updated with the latest trends in network security and infrastructure.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for defining network architecture standards and leading initiatives that transform network infrastructures for our Sovereign Customer environments. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that the network solutions you design are not only secure but also scalable and efficient. Your day-to-day tasks will include producing detailed design documentation and participating in technical service design reviews to ensure compliance with governance standards.

You will also be tasked with optimizing existing network infrastructures, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance performance and security. Regular collaboration with security teams will be essential to ensure that all network solutions adhere to the latest security protocols and best practices.

Your role will involve mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge of network architecture and security practices. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our network services, contributing to the overall success of Rackspace Technology.
