Overview

Amazon is hiring a QAE II for their AmazonPay team to ensure the quality and performance of payment solutions. You'll work with Java, Selenium, and Python to design and execute test strategies. This role requires experience in test planning and execution.

Who you are

You have a strong background in Quality Assurance Engineering with a focus on both manual and automated testing. Your experience includes designing test strategies and executing test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery. You are proficient in Java and have hands-on experience with Selenium for test automation. You understand software internals and can debug issues effectively using log files. Your ability to write automated tests with scripting tools is a key strength, allowing you to contribute to the overall quality of the product. You are an excellent individual contributor who can take tasks from start to completion with minimal guidance. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for delivering the best results for customers.

Desirable

Experience with Python is a plus, as it enhances your ability to write automated tests and scripts. Familiarity with payment systems or financial applications can give you an edge in understanding the domain better. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive the test case sign-off processes. Your ability to communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced environment makes you a valuable team member.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the Amazon Payments domain and the products in detail. You will develop test strategies and plans that align with the product goals. Your responsibilities will include writing detailed test cases, executing tests, and reporting on the results. You will contribute to code-level unit tests and ensure that the applications meet the required quality standards. You will collaborate closely with developers and product managers to identify areas for improvement and ensure that the testing processes are efficient and effective. You will also participate in driving the test case sign-off processes with stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned on quality expectations.

You will be involved in both manual and automated testing efforts, utilizing your skills in Java and Selenium to create robust test suites. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest testing tools and methodologies, allowing you to continuously improve the testing processes. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior QA engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and reliability of Amazon Payments, ensuring that customers have a seamless experience when using the service.
