Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead M&A finance activities and provide strategic financial insights. You'll work with data analysis and financial modeling to support decision-making. This role requires 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, you bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Your expertise in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investments, and divestitures, including valuation analysis, financial analysis, agreement structuring, and due diligence, has been honed in a public accounting, private equity/venture capital, or multi-national company environment. You possess impeccable business judgment for resource allocation decisions to achieve desired business outcomes and have experience developing strategies in changing environments. Your ability to work with data to produce analysis and influence decision-making with numerical insights is a key strength.

You are confident in your ability to interact with all levels of the organization, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player. Excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively with a wide variety of departments. You understand the workings of the core Finance team and are adept at managing core regulatory compliance, including capitalization tables and reporting.

What you'll do

As a Senior Financial Analyst at Google, you will ensure that the company makes sound financial decisions. Your work will involve modeling business scenarios and tracking performance metrics, which will be used by leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, focusing on the details while finding creative solutions to big-picture challenges. Your role will include conducting financial analysis for Other Bet corporate finance activities, including specialized assessments such as Held-for-Sale, impairment, deconsolidation, and tax-free spin. You will develop and present clear, concise financial updates, risk analyses, and recommendations to executive leadership, including the Alphabet Board and CFO.
