Job Description

The Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) Supply Cahin Analytics team is looking for a talented junior Business Intelligence Engineer to reinforce our team, currently covering a broad scope of topics like inbound, placement, Speed, Inventory Management, Capacity and Value Recovery Services.

In this role you will contribute from an analytics standpoint to end-to-end analysis: from opportunities/problem identification, to scoping of new ideas and expected financial entitlement, to data engineering, effective reporting and data visualization mechanisms. In the process you'll cooperate with stakeholders worldwide, from multiple business areas such as Business Intelligence, Program Management, Sales, Operations Manager, etc. You will be exposed to a wide and senior audience, and to the opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of our business.

Key job responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will work on:
• Reporting: Own and develop Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and Data Visualizations for topline metrics, programs, and goals.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments including Seller Operations, Worldwide FBA teams, and Account Managers to develop scalable frameworks and metrics.
• Data Management: Create and optimize data tables, develop efficient data pipelines, and manage complex data operations involving multiple datasets.

About the team
Our team is responsible for the Supply Chain Analytics within Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program. FBA is a service that allows sellers to store their products in Amazon's fulfillment centers, and Amazon then picks, packs, ships, and provides customer service for these items.
The key initiatives we focus on include optimizing the supply chain, preventing product defects, engaging with sellers to improve their performance. By supporting these critical areas, we aim to drive growth and profitability for both Amazon and the third-party sellers utilizing the FBA program.

Key job responsibilities
Basic qualifications
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
* Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
* Experience with SQL
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience in the data/BI space

Preferred qualifications
• Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
• Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
• Experience with the Amazon Web Services suite

About the team
Our team is responsible for the Analytics of the EU FBA Supply Chain team, covering a broad scope of topics like inbound, placement, Speed, Inventory Management, Capacity and Value Recovery Services. - Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
