Unity is hiring a Senior SEO Specialist to lead the transition to AI-first content discovery. You'll design scalable systems for content optimization and work closely with cross-functional teams. This role requires expertise in AI and SEO strategies.
You have 5+ years of experience in SEO and content marketing, with a strong focus on integrating AI technologies into traditional practices. Your expertise in data analysis allows you to audit content and infrastructure effectively, ensuring AI retrievability and performance monitoring. You are skilled in designing scalable systems that structure and tag content for machine consumption, utilizing schema and metadata to enhance discoverability.
You possess a deep understanding of how AI systems discover, retrieve, rank, and cite content. This knowledge enables you to translate complex AI concepts into practical standards and automation for publishing ecosystems. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you partner with various teams, including Product Marketing, Engineering, and Design, to embed AI readiness into everyday publishing processes.
Your experience includes creating and maintaining performance monitoring frameworks that track key metrics such as citation accuracy and trust signals across AI tools. You are proactive in identifying gaps and triggering updates to ensure content remains relevant and optimized for AI.
Familiarity with advanced AI tools and platforms is a plus, as is experience in developing retrieval-friendly patterns such as structured data and semantic markup. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to stay ahead of industry trends in AI and SEO.
In this role, you will serve as the subject-matter expert on AI-driven content discovery, guiding the shift from traditional SEO practices to innovative AI-first strategies. You will design and implement scalable pipelines that structure, tag, and format content for optimal machine consumption, ensuring that all content is easily discoverable and quotable by AI platforms.
You will collaborate closely with Engineering to integrate retrieval-friendly patterns into the content management system, enhancing crawlability and overall performance. Your responsibilities will include auditing existing content and infrastructure to assess AI retrievability, as well as launching automation processes that streamline content structuring and tagging.
You will create a comprehensive AI performance monitoring framework that tracks citations, answer accuracy, coverage, and freshness across key AI tools. This framework will trigger updates when gaps are detected, ensuring that content remains trustworthy and relevant in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Your role will also involve partnering with cross-functional teams to embed AI readiness into everyday publishing practices, focusing on the standards and automation that make this process sustainable and repeatable. You will lead initiatives that drive user engagement and improve content discoverability, ultimately enhancing the overall user experience.
Unity offers a competitive salary range of $115,000—$140,000 USD, along with a flexible remote work environment.
