Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within the payments or software sectors. Your ability to identify and engage potential customers is exceptional, and you thrive on building meaningful relationships that foster trust and collaboration. You understand the challenges faced by small businesses and are passionate about providing them with the tools they need to succeed. You are a proactive communicator, skilled in cold outreach and networking, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a tangible impact.

Desirable

Experience in the payments industry or with software solutions for small businesses would be a significant advantage. You are familiar with the local business landscape in the York & Humber region and have a network of contacts that can help you succeed in this role. A background in customer service or account management could also enhance your ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively identify potential customers within your defined territory through various outreach methods, including cold calls, networking events, and referrals. You will engage with existing and potential customers in person to understand their challenges and establish rapport. Building trust is key, as you will be representing Teya's mission to support small businesses against larger competitors. You will work closely with the commercial team to develop strategies that align with our goals and help drive business growth.

You will also be responsible for maintaining a pipeline of leads and managing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. Regular follow-ups and check-ins will be part of your routine to ensure that clients are receiving the best service possible. You will have access to continuous learning opportunities to develop your skills and advance your career. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes health and wellness programs, flexible working arrangements, and a vibrant company culture that values diversity and collaboration. Join us in our mission to empower small businesses and make a real difference in the communities we serve.
