Overview

Esri is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to lead negotiations and manage complex agreements with U.S. government entities and commercial customers. This role requires strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a seasoned contracting professional with a strong background in managing complex agreements and negotiations. With your experience, you understand the nuances of contracts and how they align with business needs and sales goals. You have a proven ability to build relationships and mitigate risks while protecting intellectual property. Your self-starter attitude allows you to prioritize assignments effectively, driving resolution and process improvement. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside skilled negotiators and attorneys to support a customer-focused philosophy.

You have experience dealing with federal contracts and understand the regulations governing them, such as FAR/DFAR. Your ability to communicate effectively with customers from various industries and levels of government sets you apart. You are committed to promoting the adoption of Esri’s ArcGIS solutions and are eager to contribute to the company’s mission of delivering transformative geospatial solutions.

Desirable

Experience in the geospatial industry or familiarity with Esri’s products would be a plus. A background in legal compliance and contract law will enhance your ability to navigate complex agreements and ensure adherence to regulations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage all requests from assigned regions in the U.S., focusing on federal customers nationwide. You will lead negotiations for high-impact contracts, ensuring they align with Esri’s business objectives. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts while collaborating with internal teams to address customer needs. You will also be responsible for identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

You will work closely with account managers to build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met throughout the contracting process. Your role will involve continuous improvement of contracting processes, seeking efficiencies that enhance the customer experience. You will also participate in training and mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise in contract management and negotiation.
