Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, along with at least 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a related function. Your background may also include an advanced degree, which is preferred. You possess strong analytical skills and have a proven track record in investment banking, venture capital, or management consulting. Your experience in research and development finance functions equips you with the ability to address business needs while aligning with finance goals. You excel at building long-term relationships across organizational boundaries and can effectively communicate with all levels of management.
Your quantitative problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you are proficient in using spreadsheets, databases, and investigative tool sets to derive insights. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you understand the importance of sound financial decisions and are adept at modeling business scenarios and tracking performance metrics. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously while focusing on both details and the big picture.
Desirable
Experience in leading transformational projects and developing novel metrics for custom silicon and AI technologies is a plus. You are familiar with automating critical workstreams and establishing consolidated, transparent program tracking, which enhances the efficiency of financial processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead individual projects that transform planning, tracking, and control processes within Google's Infrastructure team. Your work will involve creating financial models, including Net Present Value (NPV) analyses, and presenting critical economic insights that guide engineering program decisions during business case reviews. You will collaborate closely with Engineering and Infrastructure leaders to steer the technology and research and development roadmap towards financially optimal outcomes.
You will provide senior-level management with insightful recommendations, planning, and reporting support, ensuring that financial strategies align with the company's goals. Your ability to take charge and set objectives will drive results while fostering relationships across various teams. You will also pioneer financial innovation by leading projects that develop new metrics and automate processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.
