GetGround is hiring a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain robust infrastructure for their fintech platform. You'll work with GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform in a hybrid work environment based in London.
You have extensive experience in site reliability engineering, with a strong focus on building and maintaining scalable infrastructure. Your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) allows you to design and implement cloud solutions that ensure reliability and security. You are proficient in Kubernetes, managing clusters and containerization strategies effectively, and you understand the importance of observability in maintaining system health.
You thrive in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with engineering teams to improve deployment practices and champion reliability as a core principle. Your ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-paced environments makes you a valuable asset to any team. You are also passionate about mentoring other engineers, helping them grow as the team scales.
Experience with modern observability tooling and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with Terraform and Cloudflare will enhance your ability to contribute to our infrastructure initiatives. In this role, you will take ownership of our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and secure. You will design and implement infrastructure solutions that support our product's growth and reliability. Your responsibilities will include managing Kubernetes clusters, optimizing Docker images, and orchestrating deployment strategies.
You will work closely with product teams to take infrastructure and reliability initiatives from concept to production, ensuring that our platform runs smoothly for over 30,000 users across 70 countries. You will also help define and implement site reliability engineering practices that align with our high-growth fintech platform's needs.
As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team. You will be instrumental in improving our CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices, ensuring that reliability is a core engineering principle.
