Snyk’s Incubation Accelerator is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical design, development, and deployment of groundbreaking products that empower developers and enhance security worldwide.  

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of technical innovation, working on complex engineering challenges to build a transformative new product. This role involves full-stack development, system architecture, and end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle - from rapid prototyping to large-scale deployment. You’ll work in a lean, agile environment, rapidly iterating on solutions to achieve product-market fit.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance software solutions from scratch.  
• Architect systems for flexibility, scalability, and security, ensuring robust, maintainable, and high-quality codebases.  
• Build rapid prototypes to validate ideas, iterate on feedback, and pivot quickly to achieve the best product-market fit.    
• Design and deploy cloud-native applications leveraging modern infrastructure, including containerization and microservices architecture.  
• Operate within a lean, agile environment, utilizing continuous integration and delivery pipelines to accelerate development cycles.  
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to ensure cohesive product development and alignment with business goals.  
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of high ownership, creativity, and technical excellence.  

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications from scratch.  
• Extensive experience in building and deploying scalable full-stack applications, preferably in at least one of: Node.js, Python, or Go.  
• Demonstrated experience in applying machine learning (ML) techniques to solve real-world problems.
• Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and cloud-native solutions, with the ability to make strategic technical decisions.  
• Proactive problem-solving skills to thrive in a high-autonomy environment, and a passion for building products from the ground up.
