Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Position Overview As a Last Mile Delivery Specialist for Overseas Warehouses, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing last-mile delivery operations in our overseas warehouses across the US, Europe, Japan, and other global markets. Your primary duty is to ensure that goods are delivered from overseas warehouses to end customers efficiently, punctually, and cost-effectively. You will work closely with internal teams (such as Sales and Customer Service) as well as external partners (such as last-mile carriers and warehouses) to continuously enhance customer experience and control logistics costs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Last-Mile Delivery Management for Overseas Warehouses

    1. Manage daily last-mile delivery operations from designated overseas warehouses, including order processing, transportation arrangements, routing, status tracking, and exception handling.

    2. Monitor on-time delivery (OTD), analyze causes of delays, and drive improvement actions.

    3. Manage reverse logistics processes for returned shipments.

  2. Carrier Management

    1. Understand local last-mile logistics providers (courier companies, postal services, local delivery platforms, etc.) and build strong partnerships.

    2. Conduct carrier selection, negotiation, contract management, KPI evaluation (delivery time, success rate, damage rate, cost, service level, etc.), and performance reviews.

    3. Handle billing, claims, disputes, and issues related to carriers in a timely manner.

  3. Cost Optimization

    1. Analyze the cost structure of last-mile logistics from overseas warehouses to identify saving opportunities through transportation mode optimization, route planning, and rate negotiations.

    2. Monitor and analyze logistics budget vs. actual spending.

  4. Process Optimization and System Support

    1. Continuously optimize last-mile logistics processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

    2. Be proficient in using logistics systems (TMS/WMS), order management systems (OMS), and carrier platforms for daily operations and data analysis.

    3. Participate in or lead system enhancement projects related to last-mile delivery.

  5. Customer Experience and Issue Resolution

    1. Collaborate closely with the customer service team to promptly and effectively address delivery-related inquiries, complaints, and exceptions (e.g., lost, damaged, or delayed packages).

    2. Analyze customer feedback and drive improvements in service quality.

  6. Data Analysis and Reporting

    1. Regularly generate and analyze key performance indicator (KPI) reports for overseas last-mile logistics (e.g., delivery timeliness, cost, success rate, first-attempt delivery rate, customer satisfaction).

    2. Provide data insights to support decision-making and strategy development.

  7. Compliance and Risk Management

    1. Ensure last-mile delivery operations comply with destination country regulations (e.g., customs, taxation, data privacy).

    2. Identify and manage potential risks in logistics operations.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; preference for Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or related fields.

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics systems operations or exception handling, with familiarity in ERP/WMS/TMS system logic.

  • Proficiency in Excel/SQL for data analysis and root cause identification.

  • Strong sense of accountability, ability to multitask, and excellent cross-department communication skills.

  • Experience in international logistics workflows; fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) as working languages.

GREAT TO HAVE

  • Practical experience in managing last-mile logistics for overseas warehouses (e.g., coordinating with carriers like FedEx, UPS, DHL).

  • In-depth knowledge of international customs clearance procedures and reverse logistics workflows for product returns.
