Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in enterprise environments, with a focus on driving customer engagement and consumption of services. Your experience includes identifying key use cases and increasing usage among existing customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from the platform. You are skilled in prospecting and lead generation, utilizing various strategies and resources to effectively target leads and build relationships with key prospects in your territory.

You excel in sales execution, conducting initial meetings with compelling points of view that create urgency for change. Your ability to create territory and account plans allows you to prioritize pursuits effectively, ensuring that you are always focused on high-impact opportunities. You are comfortable maintaining an accurate and updated Salesforce pipeline, managing the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal.

Collaboration is key to your success; you engage with architects and professional services engagement managers to secure strategic committed deals. You understand the importance of leveraging BDRs, marketing, and your network to build relationships that displace incumbent technologies. Your approach is data-driven, and you are adept at using insights to inform your sales strategies.

Desirable

Experience in the data and analytics space is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud-based solutions. You are comfortable navigating complex sales environments and have a strong understanding of the technology landscape.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be pivotal in driving Databricks' growth by expanding the company's footprint with existing customers. You will focus on converting prospects into customers, ensuring that they see the value in Databricks' services. Your responsibilities will include identifying, structuring, and closing opportunities to co-invest in high-priority initiatives that accelerate and de-risk project delivery.

You will engage in prospecting and lead generation, utilizing various strategies such as intent signals and account planning to effectively target leads. Building relationships with key prospects will be essential, and you will leverage your network and marketing resources to create compelling engagement strategies.

Sales execution will be a critical part of your role, as you conduct first meetings with compelling points of view that create urgency for change. You will create territory and account plans to prioritize your pursuits, ensuring that you are focused on the most promising opportunities.

Maintaining an accurate and updated Salesforce pipeline will be crucial, as you will manage the sales cycle from initial contact to closing the deal. You will also engage in activities such as roundtables, bootcamps, and industry events to build relationships and progress your pipeline.
