Job Description

Are you interested in improving packaging in Amazon’s supply chain? If packaging waste makes you cringe, Amazon’s global packaging organization may be the place for you. As part of the Packaging LATAM team, this position is primarily responsible for testing packages in accordance with documented laboratory processes that simulate the Amazon fulfillment network. They are also responsible for reviewing 3rd party test reports from other labs, recording test results, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders regarding testing. This position is within the Packaging Innovation organization and the work directly impacts global packaging automation and reduction goals, in support of Amazon’s Climate Pledge. This role includes limited travel to fulfillment centers.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with sustained physical activity and operating machinery, but also comfortable with sitting at a desk for long stretches. They deal well with ambiguity, and exercise good judgement and bias for action. They are mentally flexible, adapt quickly to changing workflow and priorities, and view new tasks as growth opportunities. They earn trust with their team, and demonstrate ownership as a whole, not just their individual work. They look around corners, and call out barriers before they become larger issues. Most importantly, they thrive in a support environment, and obsess about both internal and external customer experience.

Responsibilities include:
· Conduct both in-person and virtual packaging testing and document results
· Review 3rd-party test reports, demonstrating high attention to detail.
· Communicate with vendors and internal customers in a timely and concise manner
· Interact with non-Spanish-speaking stakeholders, using available translation tools when necessary.
· Record activity and maintain data integrity in a variety of systems and tools.
· Provide packaging feedback to other Amazon teams.
· Participate in varied Packaging onsite and virtual support projects
· Review customer feedback.
· Manage multiple projects and varying tasks simultaneously.
· Supporting with project launches and trials.
· Supporting with OPA initiatives.- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications- Experience in an operational role
- Should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel
