SDET (Kubernetes & Pytest) - Software Development Engineer in Test

Who you are

You have a strong background in automated testing, particularly for modern web APIs and distributed systems. Your proficiency in Python 3 and familiarity with testing frameworks like pytest enable you to design and maintain robust automated tests. You are self-motivated and capable of managing competing priorities within a dynamic team environment. Your troubleshooting skills allow you to conduct root cause analysis of failures effectively, and you possess strong communication skills to articulate defects, risks, and validation approaches clearly.

You understand API design and usage, with a solid grasp of REST principles. Your experience includes developing automated test suites aligned with CI/CD practices, ensuring that quality, security, and observability are integral to the software lifecycle. You are eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize testing tools and contribute to shared test frameworks, driving continuous improvement in quality operations.

Desirable

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop and maintain automated test frameworks and cases for global telco operator APIs, ensuring that quality is built into the software lifecycle. You will collaborate on architecture and design, providing input on testability and validation approaches. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining CI/CD-aligned test suites that encompass unit, integration, contract, performance, and security testing.

You will execute quality operations by running and monitoring test jobs, contributing to defect triage, and supporting releases. Additionally, you will produce developer-facing assets such as sample code, user guides, and reference applications to facilitate better understanding and usage of the APIs.

Your role will also involve documenting, tracking, and communicating issues and insights to drive continuous improvement within the team. You will work closely with other engineers to ensure that testing practices are standardized and that the testing tools are effectively utilized across projects.
