Overview

Google is seeking a Logistics Area Leader to manage complex projects within Google Cloud. You'll leverage your extensive experience in program management and leadership to drive performance and lead cross-functional teams. This role requires 10+ years of experience in program or project management.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in program or project management. With at least 7 years in a leadership role, you have a proven track record in managing technical teams and overseeing end-to-end order management processes. Your expertise includes vendor management and service delivery, ensuring that critical service levels are met consistently.

Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. You have extensive experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, particularly in manufacturing and distribution environments. Your familiarity with methodologies such as 5S, lean, and six sigma positions you as a strong candidate for this role.

You are a problem solver at heart, believing that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s resolved for all stakeholders involved. As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion, working closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners across the organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will coordinate various players across different offices and time zones, ensuring that everyone is updated on progress and deadlines. You will drive measurable program performance gains correlated to execution velocity, acting as a change advocate responsible for guiding multiple organizations through necessary pivots in response to shifts in business trends and priorities.

You will lead the strategic planning framework for a complex program portfolio, directly influencing resourcing decisions, planning cadence, and stakeholder engagement. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of safety, security, quality, and inventory management within warehouses, ensuring that all programs meet the highest standards.

What we offer

At Google, you will be part of a team that is committed to creating opportunities for everyone, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver enterprise-grade solutions. You will have the chance to work on impactful projects that accelerate digital transformation for organizations worldwide. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our teams.
