SpaceX is hiring a Propulsion Engineer for the Raptor Development Operations team to guide the development of future versions of the Raptor engine. You'll be responsible for system-level ownership and ensuring compatibility with the vehicle. This role requires a detailed knowledge of propulsion systems and excellent planning skills.
You have a strong background in propulsion engineering, with experience in guiding the development of complex systems. Your expertise allows you to define requirements and develop operations critical to engine functionality. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You are detail-oriented and capable of leading the engine development cycle, from test planning to anomaly resolution. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about advancing aerospace technology. Experience with full-flow staged combustion engines or similar propulsion systems is a plus. Familiarity with testing and verification processes in aerospace engineering will enhance your candidacy. A background in working with hardware, fluids, and operations will be beneficial in this role.
