Amazon Japan Store Tech (JST) Science team serves as the core science division of JP Store Tech, with the vision to enable and accelerate the best-in-class CX through state-of-the-art machine learning technologies. This team owns the science vision definition, science roadmap planning, and science solution delivery in key business areas in Japan including Search, Customer Growth and Engagement, Personalization and Delivery.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Data Scientist, your responsibilities will be:
* Lead the data analysis, insight discovery, prototyping and implementation of machine learning models for different business domains
* Work closely with other scientists and engineers to review and improve your model design proposals.
* Partner with product managers and other business stakeholders, documenting and explaining your progress in business reviews, and being the technical voice in charge of your product.
* Be active in the community, participating in science education/growth activities.
* Keep up to date with scientific development in the field.5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
4+ years of data scientist experience
Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience
Experience managing data pipelines
Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team
