Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software development and testing, with a strong focus on building and maintaining automated test frameworks. Your expertise in Java and familiarity with testing tools like JUnit and Selenium enable you to create robust test cases that ensure software reliability and performance. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development process. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a keen attention to detail, allowing you to catch potential issues before they impact the product. You are passionate about quality assurance and understand the importance of delivering a flawless user experience. You are adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies that enhance testing processes.

Desirable

Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud-based testing environments. Knowledge of rocket systems or aerospace software development is advantageous but not required. You are open to mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge to foster a culture of learning and improvement within the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test at Relativity, you will be responsible for developing and executing automated tests for the safety-critical software that powers the Terran R vehicle. You will collaborate with software engineers to design test strategies that align with the development lifecycle, ensuring that all software components meet stringent quality standards. Your role will involve creating detailed test plans, writing automated test scripts, and analyzing test results to identify areas for improvement. You will also participate in code reviews, providing feedback to enhance code quality and maintainability. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of the software that operates under extreme conditions, such as Mach 5 atmospheric flight.

You will work in a fast-paced environment where you can see your code run on rocket engines daily, contributing to the success of groundbreaking aerospace technology. You will have the opportunity to shape testing processes and methodologies, driving innovation within the Vehicle Software team. Your insights will help define the future of software testing at Relativity, ensuring that our products are not only functional but also exceed customer expectations.

What we offer

Relativity offers a competitive salary range of $153,000—$196,000 USD, along with comprehensive benefits that support your well-being and professional growth. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team that values creativity and technical rigor, where your voice will help shape the culture and processes. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe in the potential of every candidate to contribute to our mission of revolutionizing space technology.
