Samsara is seeking an Account Executive for their Mid Market team to drive sales of IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You'll engage with executives and manage complex sales processes. This role requires experience in sales and a strong understanding of IoT applications.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in engaging with mid-sized customers and navigating complex sales cycles. Your experience includes managing multiple stakeholders and negotiating pricing effectively, ensuring that you can bring the benefits of IoT solutions to a diverse range of clients. You are comfortable working with executives and CXOs, demonstrating the value of sensor data in improving operational efficiency. You thrive in a remote work environment and are willing to travel approximately 25% of the time to meet clients and close deals.
Experience in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector is a plus, as it will help you understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by potential customers. Familiarity with industries such as agriculture, construction, and transportation will enable you to tailor your approach and solutions effectively. A background in technology sales or a related field will also be beneficial, as it will enhance your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales of Samsara's IoT solutions to mid-sized customers. You will engage in the entire sales process, from identifying potential clients to closing deals. Your typical sales will range from $20k to $100k, requiring you to manage proof of concepts (POCs) and trials effectively. You will work closely with various stakeholders within client organizations, ensuring that their needs are met and that they see the value in adopting Samsara's technology. You will also be involved in multi-faceted pricing negotiations, ensuring that both the company and the client find a mutually beneficial agreement.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that the solutions you propose align with customer needs and expectations. This may involve working with product teams to understand the latest features and capabilities of Samsara's offerings. You will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services.
