Upstart is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to modernize their Design System and enhance user experiences. You'll work with JavaScript and React to create scalable solutions. This role requires significant experience in frontend development.
You have 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on building high-quality, scalable user interfaces. Your expertise in JavaScript and React allows you to create responsive web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You understand modern product design principles and are committed to ensuring accessibility and consistency across platforms. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with design and product teams to align on project goals and deliverables. You are passionate about evolving design systems and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of quality. You are adaptable and open to feedback, always looking for ways to improve both your work and the processes around you.
Experience with design systems and a strong understanding of UI/UX principles will set you apart. Familiarity with tools like Figma or Adobe XD is a plus, as is any background in working with cross-functional teams in a digital-first environment.
