Job Description

Are you passionate about advancing automated material handling systems and robotics? Do you thrive on solving complex automation challenges through collaborative innovation? If you're excited about seeing your work transform modern robotics and material handling operations, you'll be a perfect fit at Automation Integration Technologies (AIT). We are a team of innovative problem-solvers dedicated to revolutionizing warehouse automation through innovative solutions at Amazon's scale.

AIT is seeking a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer with strong technical skills to join our team. This dynamic team develops and maintains tools for automating the deployment, management, and monitoring of complex material handling systems, including conveyor networks, robotic workcells, and industrial control systems. The engineer will lead initiatives in building highly scalable and reliable solutions that orchestrate and integrate equipment across Amazon's global network of automated fulfillment centers.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of modern DevOps practices and industrial automation, helping to build the future of automated material handling systems at Amazon's scale.


Key job responsibilities
Design and implement automation solutions for deployment and configuration
Develop monitoring and diagnostic tools for MHE systems including conveyors, sorters, and robotics
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for industrial control systems software
Implement predictive maintenance solutions using sensors and real-time data analytics
Automate IPC/PLC program deployment and version control across multiple facilities

- Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
- Experience with Industrial Control Systems and PLC programming.- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production
- Experience writing technical documents, project plans and progress reports to leadership and to stakeholders
- Experience with robotic workcell integration and programming

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
