You have a strong background in cloud operations and experience as a systems engineer — you've successfully managed cloud services and understand the intricacies of high-availability systems. Your expertise in AWS services is complemented by your ability to collaborate with global teams to drive impactful projects.

In this role, you will oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025 — you will collaborate closely with global AWS teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-availability services tailored for EU customers. Your responsibilities will include enhancing day-to-day operations and implementing improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency.
You will lead operations and development teams dedicated to the ESC, ensuring that the services provided meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction — your influence will shape the evolution of AWS services and technology in the region. You will also be responsible for monitoring service performance and implementing strategies to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
