Finance Director / VP of Finance

Who you are

You have a strong background in finance with at least 5 years of experience in financial operations, ideally within a scale-up environment. You possess hands-on leadership skills and are comfortable managing day-to-day financial activities while also providing strategic oversight. Your experience includes ensuring regulatory compliance and preparing accurate financial statements and management reports. You are adept at cash flow optimization and have a keen understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A). You are a proactive communicator, able to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams. You are driven by results and have a track record of scaling finance functions in fast-paced environments. You are open to feedback and eager to grow into a VP of Finance role, demonstrating a commitment to professional development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Wheely, ensuring that all financial activities are executed efficiently and accurately. You will manage the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow optimization efforts. You will prepare and present financial statements and management reports to support executive decision-making. You will lead audits and ensure that the company remains compliant with all regulatory requirements. As you grow in this role, you will take on additional responsibilities related to financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. You will work closely with the CEO and other executives to drive strategic initiatives that support the company's rapid expansion across EMEA and the US. You will also play a key role in building and maintaining a lean, automated finance team that can adapt to the company's growth.
