Coupang is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to oversee financial operations including payments processing, general ledger management, and tax compliance. This role requires strong accounting expertise and collaboration across functions.
You have extensive experience in financial accounting, particularly in managing general ledger activities and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your strong analytical skills enable you to conduct thorough financial data analysis, supporting business decisions effectively. You are adept at collaborating with various departments to streamline operational workflows and enhance reporting accuracy. Your expertise in inventory accounting is crucial, as you will be responsible for conducting technical evaluations and implementing best practices in compliance with accounting policies.
You possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, including JGAAP, and are skilled in preparing and reviewing journal entries to maintain the integrity of the financial records. Your attention to detail ensures that accounts payable processes are timely and compliant with internal controls. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with regional and global finance teams to support month-end and year-end closing processes. Your proactive approach to managing inventory-related KPIs contributes to continuous process improvement within the organization.
Experience with financial audits and a solid understanding of internal policies and external regulations will be advantageous. Familiarity with accounting software and tools will enhance your ability to perform efficiently in this role.
In this role, you will oversee the preparation, review, and posting of journal entries, ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger. You will support tax-related matters, including filings and documentation, while coordinating with tax advisors to ensure compliance. Monitoring accounts payable will be a key responsibility, ensuring timely processing and adherence to internal controls. You will provide financial data analysis and reporting to support business decisions and respond to ad-hoc requests from management.
Your involvement in month-end and year-end closing processes will require close coordination with regional and global finance teams. You will also support audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. A significant aspect of your role will be managing inventory accounting matters, which includes reviewing and implementing accounting treatments in compliance with Group Accounting Policies and JGAAP. You will monitor and manage inventory-related KPIs, proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement.
