What you'll do

As a Security Engineer at Benchling, you will lead the architecture and development of security tools and infrastructure that support the company's security mission. You will own complex projects from planning through delivery, ensuring that security is a priority in all aspects of the development process. Collaborating closely with Product Security Engineers and Software Engineers, you will identify, design, and implement security features and controls within the AWS cloud infrastructure.

Your role will involve conducting security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.

You will participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and remediate security incidents as they arise. Your contributions will directly impact the security posture of Benchling, enabling the company to protect sensitive data and maintain trust with its customers.
