What you'll do

As an Area Manager Outbound at Amazon, you will be responsible for overseeing the outbound operations at the Nova Santa Rita Distribution Center. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include implementing and strengthening a safety culture during shifts, ensuring that your team works safely and that risks are minimized. You will review shift production forecasts and allocate resources effectively to meet targets. Monitoring production and productivity metrics will be crucial, as you will need to quickly correct any deviations from expected performance. You will maintain routines that develop team knowledge and skills, addressing problems as they arise. Additionally, you will conduct thorough investigations when incidents occur and propose specific corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Your role will also involve driving daily productivity and capacity targets by removing operational barriers and optimizing headcount allocation. You will execute improvement projects to completion, ensuring measurable results that contribute to the overall success of the distribution center.
