Vanta is seeking a Renewal Specialist to drive customer retention and growth among early-stage companies. You'll manage renewal processes and ensure alignment with customer security goals. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
You have experience in customer success or account management, ideally within a SaaS environment — you understand the importance of building relationships and driving customer satisfaction. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to effectively engage with founders and their teams, guiding them through renewal conversations with empathy and efficiency. You are data-driven, focusing on metrics like Net Revenue Retention (NRR) and Gross Dollar Retention (GDR) to measure success and drive improvements. You are adaptable and can manage a high volume of customers while maintaining a personal touch in your interactions. You are passionate about helping businesses achieve their security and compliance goals, aligning them with Vanta’s solutions.
Experience in the security or compliance industry is a plus, but not required. Familiarity with renewal processes and customer relationship management tools will help you excel in this role. A background in working with early-stage companies or startups can provide valuable insights into their unique challenges and needs.
As a Renewal Specialist at Vanta, you will own the full renewal process for all customers in the Early Stage segment, from initial outreach through signature and invoicing. You will drive customers toward the auto-renewal motion while managing exceptions through negotiation and deal submission for approval as needed. Your focus will be on achieving renewal outcomes that meet or exceed NRR and GDR targets, ensuring that customers feel valued and supported throughout the process. You will build and maintain a consistent operating rhythm that balances proactive outreach with the human touch that early customers value most. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that customer security and compliance goals are aligned with their growth needs and Vanta’s solutions. You will analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, helping to refine the renewal process and enhance customer satisfaction. You will contribute to the overall success of the customer success team by sharing insights and best practices with your colleagues.
