The Device OS Team builds the OS Components which enable internal and external partners to launch Applications, Services, and Devices that our customers love.
As a Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, you will empower and lead a team of technical program managers delivering features and improvements across OS Workstreams.
The Role:
- Lead and Develop a Team of Program Managers.
- Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirements.
- Lead cross functional development on new technology from design through delivery.
- Work with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelines. Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control.
Key job responsibilities
* Provide leadership to a Program Management team responsible for driving cross-org initiatives.
* Make tradeoffs while balancing the business needs with technical constraints
* Work closely with product and engineering teams to define near term and long term product roadmap
* Create mechanisms to drive timely, accurate, and comprehensive project execution. Create clarity, eliminate obstacles and drive issue resolution to ensure deliverables & timelines are met. Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery mechanisms get better over time
* Serve as a trusted advisor to program, product, and engineering teams
About the team
The Device OS team invents ways to help customers develop complex applications deployed on multiple device types. Developer experience ensures the software product is fully usable, well-designed, functional, and easy to navigate. This role interacts with multiple teams and will be responsible for external developers management including the product externalization process and the developer portal to cover learning materials and tutorials, well-written documentation, reference apps etc.10+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of people management experience
7+ years of software engineering experience
8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience in delivering large scale software features and services
Experience in launching consumer electronic devices

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $175,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $302,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
