Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise during sales presentations and product demonstrations. You'll work closely with the Sales team and require strong communication skills to engage with customers effectively.

Who you are

You have a strong background in sales engineering, ideally with experience in the tech industry. You are skilled at articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, ensuring that customers understand the value of the solutions you present. Your communication skills are top-notch, both written and verbal, allowing you to build rapport with clients and stakeholders alike. You are passionate about educating customers on observability risks that are meaningful to their business, and you can build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to drive customer success.

What you'll do

As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Datadog value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers. You will own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our products. Your role will involve communicating Datadog’s value based on activities and working with customers on any identified issues or concerns to reach a successful conclusion. You will technically close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility. Delivering product and technical briefings and presentations to potential clients will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input, both wins and losses, and proactively engage and communicate with customers and Datadog business/technical teams regarding product feedback and the competitive landscape.
