Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Policy Enforcement Manager for Graphic Violence on YouTube. You'll analyze trends and risks related to graphic violence, implement policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires 7+ years of experience in data analytics and trust and safety.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields. Your strong analytical skills are complemented by a Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, which is preferred. You possess experience with machine learning and are proficient in SQL, building dashboards, and data collection/transformation. Your ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, allows you to influence cross-functionally at various levels within the organization. You thrive in a role that requires strategic thinking and a proactive approach to ensuring user safety on platforms like YouTube.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced environment, particularly within the tech industry, is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization tools and scripting/programming languages, such as Python, will enhance your ability to deliver actionable insights. You are passionate about internet safety and have a keen interest in understanding how dangerous individuals operate online.

What you'll do

As a Policy Enforcement Manager for Graphic Violence, you will be responsible for analyzing trends and risks associated with graphic violence on YouTube. Your role will involve implementing and enforcing policies across millions of videos, ensuring that YouTube remains a safe platform for users and content creators. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to define global operational plans that address these challenges. Tracking and monitoring operational performance against key metrics will be a critical part of your responsibilities, allowing you to turn data into digestible and actionable stories for various teams.

You will provide operational and policy expertise to enhance the effectiveness of our enforcement strategies. Supporting the development of automated enforcement solutions will also be part of your role, as you work to mitigate harmful content with urgency. Your strategic insights will help shape the future of YouTube's Trust and Safety team, ensuring that we continuously improve our understanding of online content concerns and navigate global legal frameworks effectively.
