Job Description

**About the Role** Uber is transforming the future of grocery & retail, building the world’s best and biggest marketplace for on-demand delivery of all local commerce. As part of the Global Merchant Operations team for Grocery & Retail (GR), you will help to ensure an exceptional experience for the merchants on the Uber platform. You will support our merchants as they partner with Uber to grow their business and provide a world-class delivery experience to customers. In this role, you will work closely with local operations and commercial teams around the globe, as well as GR leadership and product development teams. Specifically, you will be the global leader for our merchant integration strategy, ensuring we provide a magical integration experience for our merchants. The scope of this role spans integrations of all types, including catalog, point-of-sale, order fulfillment, and loyalty programs. This role calls for a well-rounded combination of analytical ability, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, collaboration skills, and operational excellence. We operate in a fast-paced environment, so we are looking for a highly adaptable candidate who can thrive in a dynamic culture. **What You'll Do** - Vision & Leadership: Set a global integration vision and strategy in collaboration with senior GR and Product leadership, then drive organizational focus and cross-functional execution against that strategy - Integration Strategy: Define, articulate, and lead the global retail merchant integration strategy with a focus on unlocking business value for both Uber and our merchants, ensuring alignment with business goals and translating strategy into clear roadmaps and outcomes - Post-Integration Support: Define and monitor key metrics related to the merchant’s integration experience with Uber, and drive cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve them - Prioritization & Roadmapping: Own the intake and prioritization of integration requests, balancing merchant needs with Uber’s strategic objectives and technical constraints - Program Management: Drive cross-functional execution across product, engineering, operations and commercial teams to deliver high-impact integration initiatives and scaled solutions for long-tail merchants. - Enablement: Build educational materials and develop the playbooks and tooling needed to promote integration best practices and adoption for our internal commercial and operations teams and external merchant partners - Quality Standards: Define and monitor key metrics related to the merchant’s integration experience with Uber, and drive cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve them **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field - 6+ years of experience in strategy, operations, finance, consulting, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exceptional stakeholder management experience and program management skills - Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), to effectively engage and drive consensus across technical and non-technical audiences - Advanced Excel/google sheets and data analysis skills - Intermediate/Advanced SQL skills (or a willingness to develop them quickly) - Proven experience working directly with senior leaders to set and align on functional strategy and execution priorities - Demonstrated ability to define a long-term vision and lead cross-functional teams toward successful strategy implementation at scale **Preferred Qualifications** - Master's Degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field - Experience in the grocery and/or retail industry - Experience defining and executing cross-functional strategies across global teams - Track record of leading organizational change or transformation efforts tied to B2B approaches For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$155,000 per year - USD$172,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
