As Senior ATE Development Engineer in the Silicon & Systems team, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and develop innovative production software solutions for products developed for and deployed in Kuiper phased array antennas in LEO satellites and ground terminal products. You will work closely with internal and third-party vendors to develop ATE test programs and tools to support high-volume production test of mm-wave ICs, and generate data analytics / insights into product / system performance and metrics to meet our customers’ needs. You will focus on building modular, device-agnostic scalable test libraries for use in high-volume production. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reusable ATE software libraries that are device-agnostic to support multiple product variants.
- Implement and optimize RF, digital, and high-speed interface test routines for high-volume manufacturing.
- Participate in the definition and integration of embedded code to accelerate built-in self-tests.
- Create modular, reusable, and scalable test libraries for mm-wave System-on-Chips (SoCs) on ATE platforms such as Teradyne and Advantest.
- Focus on test time reduction while maintaining data integrity and test coverage.
- Define work flows and mechanisms for ATE software version control and release.
- Support global production teams with troubleshooting, updates, and deployment.- Bachelor's degree in electrical/communications engineering or related field.
- 5 or more years of employment in silicon RF Test or RF Product Engineering.
- Masters or PhD degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or related field.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in mm-wave or RF validation engineering of communications systems, preferably in high-volume consumer devices manufacturing
- Knowledgeable in production control processes, statistical analysis platforms (Galaxy, Spotfire, JMP or similar), data interpretation/analysis, Cp/Cpk, and bench/tester correlation.
- New product transition from design phase, through qualification and into high volume manufacturing environment.
- Silicon manufacturing concepts like GR&R, MBIST, and ATPG
- Test data outputs such as STDFs from UFLEX and V93K ATEs.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor product development and production flow.
- Test automation of bench equipment for digital electronics (e.g. pattern generators, logic analyzers) and RF electronics (e.g. spectrum analyzers, VNAs).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
