DoorDash is seeking a Senior Operations Specialist to lead a team focused on autonomous delivery technology. You'll manage operations and communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. This role requires 4+ years of experience in operations, preferably in the autonomous industry.
You have over 4 years of experience in operations, ideally within the autonomous industry, and possess a strong interest in robotics solutions. You are skilled at managing teams and have a proven track record of leading operational shifts effectively. Your communication skills are top-notch, allowing you to convey status updates and escalate issues to stakeholders promptly. You maintain a balanced approach to business needs, costs, and safety, ensuring that all aspects of operations are handled with care. You are an expert in autonomous technology and are eager to track and convey changes to it, pushing metrics and striving for continuous improvement.
In this role, you will manage a PM shift of operators at DoorDash Labs, focusing on executing autonomy goals. You will oversee the operations team supporting autonomous testing, bringing innovative technology from ideation to commercialization. Your responsibilities will include serving as an escalation path for field issues, maintaining an onsite presence when necessary, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for tracking performance metrics and striving to improve them personally, contributing to the overall success of the team. You will report to a Specialist Operations Manager or Operations Manager, collaborating closely with them to achieve operational excellence.
This position is 100% onsite at our Operations Hub in Mesa, AZ, with some duties in Chandler and Tempe, AZ. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that is at the forefront of delivery technology, working in an environment that values innovation and collaboration.
