Have you wanted to directly contribute to the building and maintaining of a satellite fleet in space? This role is for a Sr. SDE who will lead the design architecture and implementation of various enhancements and integrations for Project Kuiper’s Siemens design, and engineering, manufacturing systems including Product Lifecycle Management. Our team owns the product lifecycle management, and Siemens digital CAD design applications: for example mechanical CAD designs, electronic engineering CAD designs, integrations between various design tools and product lifecycle management, and custom micro services for managing satellite component development between users and systems.
Key job responsibilities
- Design and Implement API’s, integrations, and micro-services for our product lifecycle management systems
- Design and implement custom user and automated workflow logic for product lifecycle management
- Design and maintain data models and data flows for product lifecycle management
- Design and maintain data governance and design custom integrations with next generation attribute based controls and data tagging for Siemens engineering system

As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the team, you will be counted on to define and apply the standards for engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices for your team.- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
