We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our Global Marketing Operations team, combining deep AWS expertise with strong data architecture capabilities. The role focuses equally on system architecture and data solutions, designing both robust data pipelines and automation systems. You'll architect solutions across our marketing technology ecosystem, implementing efficient "Hub & Spoke" data models while ensuring optimal system integrations and automation workflows. This role is critical in managing technology investments, driving operational efficiency through well-architected AWS solutions.
Key job responsibilities
System Architecture:
• Design and implement scalable AWS solutions utilizing services such as Lambda, ECS, Step Functions, and API Gateway
• Architect microservices and serverless solutions for marketing automation workflows
• Create resilient system integration patterns between marketing platforms
• Implement cost-effective cloud infrastructure following AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Design CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions
Data Architecture:
• Design data lakes and warehouses using AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR)
• Implement efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS data services
• Create data models that support marketing campaign analytics and reporting
• Develop data governance frameworks and data quality measures
• Design real-time data processing solutions using Kinesis or MSK
Cross-Functional:
• Evaluate and recommend optimal technical solutions for business requirements
• Lead architectural decision-making processes using AWS best practices
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams
• Provide guidance on cloud cost optimization and resource utilization
• Mentor team members on AWS best practices and architectural principles
A day in the life
• Lead solution design sessions for automation requirements
• Evaluate AWS services for new integration requirements
• Optimize existing data flows and system integrations
• Collaborate with development teams on implementation approaches
• Review and optimize AWS infrastructure costs
• Create architecture diagrams using AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Guide teams on AWS best practices and data modeling standards- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Knowledge of cloud architecture- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
