Civil/Structural Engineer (Starlink)

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline and have at least 2 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering. You are skilled in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of construction processes and project management. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with engineers from various disciplines to deliver large-scale projects. Your ability to resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time makes you an asset to any project team. You are detail-oriented and capable of preparing cost estimates and project schedules effectively. You understand the importance of clear communication and can interact confidently with contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.

What you'll do

As a Civil Engineer at SpaceX, you will be part of a project team responsible for designing and building infrastructure that supports the Starlink mission. You will perform civil and structural engineering tasks, including developing and issuing drawings and design documentation for various construction projects. You will write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed smoothly. Your role will involve preparing cost estimates and project schedules, as well as maintaining project cost control reports. You will work closely with engineers and contractors to resolve any design and construction conflicts that arise in the field, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet quality standards.
