You possess at least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role, overseeing projects, and have 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership. Your background includes 3 years of experience in Android or iOS application development or back-end development, showcasing your versatility in software engineering.

You are adept at managing project goals and contributing to product strategy while ensuring your team of engineers is supported and empowered to optimize their code. Your technical expertise allows you to guide major projects and foster a collaborative environment where engineers can thrive. You understand the complexities of working in a matrixed organization and are comfortable navigating these dynamics to achieve project success.

Desirable

A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, as well as experience working in a complex, matrixed organization. Your ability to contribute creatively to processes, testing, automation, products, and business growth will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Google, you will lead a team of engineers in the development of innovative AI fitness coaching solutions. You will oversee the technical direction of projects, ensuring that your team meets project goals while maintaining high standards of quality. Your role will involve optimizing your own code as well as guiding engineers to enhance their coding practices. You will contribute to the multi-year effort of integrating the software stack with Google Production systems and partner subscription life-cycle management solutions.

You will ensure appropriate test automation and coverage for developed features, which is crucial for maintaining high quality at scale.
