Key job responsibilities
• Structuring, drafting, and negotiating licensing, channel carriage, marketing, and other commercial agreements
• Providing ongoing legal counsel across a range of fields, including intellectual property, digital media, and regulatory compliance
• Ensuring that licensing and distribution contracts by which the Company is or will be legally bound accurately express the Company’s objectives; amending as appropriate
• Serving as a key legal liaison with content licensing and channels distribution business teams.
• Handling multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.

A day in the life
You will provide legal support for various teams within the Prime Video business, with a primary focus on third-party licensing of a diverse array of film and television content from Amazon MGM Studios. Working directly with business colleagues, you will serve as counsel in drafting, negotiating, and closing license agreements with a diverse array of partners across television and digital media, support distribution of branded networks, and you will work together with other members of the Prime Video Legal team to deliver results across a range of challenging and ambitious projects. - 4+ years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent- Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Knowledge of media industry and the legal and regulatory environment in which it operates or equivalent; fluidity and familiarity with entertainment industry trends and practices
- Excellent drafting, negotiating, and analytical skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
