Overview

Formlabs is hiring an R&D Reliability Engineer to ensure product robustness and reliability. You'll develop and manage validation test plans and perform root cause analysis on electromechanical subsystems. This role requires hands-on engineering skills and a strong analytical mindset.

Who you are

You are a versatile and curious engineer with a strong background in reliability engineering and a passion for ensuring product robustness. With experience in developing and executing validation test plans, you understand the importance of meeting design and reliability requirements. You have hands-on experience with electromechanical systems and are skilled in data analysis, allowing you to extract valuable insights from complex data sets. Your problem-solving abilities enable you to perform thorough root cause analysis (RCA) of subsystem failures, utilizing common methodologies to identify and address issues effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience with advanced testing strategies and engineering test rigs is a plus. Familiarity with 3D printing technology and its applications in various industries will help you understand the context of your work better. You are eager to learn and adapt to new challenges, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop, execute, and manage system, subsystem, and component level validation test plans to ensure that Formlabs products meet stringent design and reliability requirements. You will be responsible for performing hands-on and data-driven root cause analysis (RCA) of electromechanical subsystems and field failures, utilizing your engineering expertise to identify and resolve issues. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will help architect effective testing strategies that enhance product reliability and performance. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Formlabs' innovative 3D printing solutions, ensuring that customers can rely on our products for their creative and manufacturing needs.

What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive compensation package, including equity in the form of RSUs, allowing you to grow alongside the company. The base pay for this role ranges from $80,000 to $125,000 USD annually, depending on your skills, qualifications, and experience.
