Experience with foundational multimodal models and their training processes is a plus. What you'll do

In this role, you will research and develop novel machine learning algorithms and models that push the boundaries of current technology. You will work on both pre-training and post-training processes for foundational multimodal models, ensuring they are robust and effective for real-world applications. Your responsibilities will include building data and learning solutions that prioritize scalability, efficiency, and performance, which are crucial for integrating AI into Microsoft products.

You will curate training and evaluation datasets, establishing benchmarks that guide the optimization of models. Your work will involve optimizing these models for various hardware configurations, ensuring they perform well across different platforms. You will collaborate closely with other scientists and engineers in the Spatial AI Lab, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to present your research at workshops and conferences, showcasing your findings and engaging with the broader AI community. Mentoring students and junior team members will also be a key part of your role, as you help cultivate the next generation of AI researchers.
