Overview

Databricks is seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales within GSI accounts. You'll leverage your expertise in big data and cloud solutions to expand customer relationships and exceed revenue targets. This role requires a strong background in field sales and strategic account management.

Job Description

Who you are

You are a strategic sales professional with a proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly within the GSI or FINS sectors. With your experience, you understand how to effectively communicate the value of innovative solutions to customers and system integrators. You thrive in environments where you can expand existing accounts and identify new opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Your background includes field sales experience in big data, cloud, or SaaS sales, and you have established relationships with key decision-makers such as CIOs and program managers. You are adept at navigating complex sales cycles and are skilled in using a solution-based approach to selling, which allows you to create significant value for your clients.

You are familiar with tracking customer interactions and sales activities in Salesforce, ensuring that you maintain detailed records of use cases, purchase time frames, and forecasting. Your ability to compress decision cycles and guide deals forward is a testament to your strategic mindset and sales acumen.

Desirable

Experience in an early-stage company is a plus, as it has equipped you with the agility and resourcefulness needed to succeed in a fast-paced environment. You are always looking for ways to grow within your accounts and are motivated by the opportunity to close exciting deals while exceeding your quotas.

What you'll do

As an Enterprise Account Executive at Databricks, you will meet with CIOs, IT executives, and other key partners to expand the Databricks footprint within existing accounts. Your role will involve identifying and closing quick wins while managing longer, more complex sales cycles. You will be responsible for exceeding activity, pipeline, and revenue targets, which will require you to prioritize opportunities and apply the appropriate resources effectively.

You will utilize a solution-based approach to selling, promoting Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark™. Your goal will be to ensure 100% satisfaction among all customers, which will involve building strong relationships and understanding their needs deeply. You will also be expected to track all customer details meticulously, including use cases and next steps, in Salesforce.
