What you'll do

As a Lead Engineer for the Inference Platform at MongoDB, you will partner with the Search Platform and Voyage.ai teams to productionize state-of-the-art embedding models and rerankers. Your role will involve leading key projects focused on performance optimization, ensuring that the inference platform operates efficiently under varying loads. You will design and build components of a multi-tenant inference service that integrates seamlessly with Atlas Vector Search, enhancing the overall user experience.

You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction of the team, making architectural decisions that align with business goals while maintaining high standards of code quality. Your hands-on approach will involve actively participating in the design and implementation phases, ensuring that the systems you develop are scalable and maintainable.

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with AI engineers and researchers to bring innovative features to life.
