Amazon is seeking for a Tax Analyst to join its Direct Tax Reporting and Compliance team in China within the Foreign Reporting Group.
The Tax Analyst primarily supports the Tax Manager and Sr. Tax Analyst in the process of managing income tax accounting, compliance and reporting for Amazon’s subsidiaries and group entities in APAC countries and Canada. A highly organized, self-starter with local countries tax expertise and excellent communication and collaboration will be successful on this team.
Key job responsibilities
Support direct tax accounting under US GAAP and local GAAP;
Support direct tax day to day compliance issues, including return and non-return filing, tax forecasting, tax audits;
Support income tax reporting, including tax provision preparing/reviewing, deferred tax and ETR analysis, and tax balance sheet and forecast review, etc.;
Work with internal teams and outside tax advisors to collect facts and data for the purposes of tax computation, analysis and risk control;
Research and track changes of local tax regulations; and
Implement standard procedures worldwide for compliance and reporting processes.- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level- Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar
- CPA
- 3+ Experience working in big 4 public accounting firm;
- Good self-learning and analytical skills;
- Strong ownership on tasks assigned;
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
