Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to join our Dash Cart team, leading cart hardware and other in-store technology initiatives. This role will drive product strategy and execution for next-generation smart shopping cart solutions, working at the intersection of hardware, software, and retail innovation. You'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing the in-store shopping experience, developing new technologies to create engaging shopping experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the product roadmap for Dash Cart hardware and associated in-store technologies
* Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements, architecture decisions, and development priorities, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals
* Drive product improvements through data-driven analysis, customer feedback, and field performance metrics
* Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning hardware, firmware, and infrastructure teams, coordinating efforts across electrical, mechanical, design, and software engineering disciplines
* Collaborate with operations teams to optimize cart deployment, maintenance, and fleet management strategies across diverse store environments
* Define and track key performance metrics for cart hardware and store systems, including uptime, performance, and customer adoption rates
* Develop comprehensive business cases for new technology investments, balancing innovation with cost-effectiveness and scalability
* Work backwards from customer needs to deliver innovative shopping experiences, considering both shopper and store associate perspectives
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to incorporate new innovations into the Dash Cart ecosystem

Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years of product management experience in technical roles
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field
* Experience leading complex technical products with hardware components, preferably in consumer electronics or IoT devices
* Track record of delivering results in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data-driven decision making
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Proficiency with project management tools and agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
* MBA or Master's degree in a technical field
* 7+ years of product management experience for hardware or IoT devices
* Deep experience with IoT devices, embedded systems, or retail technology
* Knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, or edge computing
* Background in operations or supply chain management, particularly in retail environments
* Proven track record of innovation and patent development
* In-depth understanding of retail operations, customer experience, and omnichannel strategies
* Experience with regulatory compliance and safety standards for consumer products
* Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and their application in IoT and edge computing scenarios
* Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without direct authority across large organizations

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
