Role Overview:
As a Senior SDE on the Alexa Presentation team, you'll lead the development of scalable, high-performance systems that power multimodal interactions that integrate with state-of-the-art LLMs and Generative AI. You'll have the unique opportunity to shape both the technical architecture and the user experience of features used by millions of customers daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, low-latency services that enable sophisticated multimodal experiences across Alexa devices
- Lead the development of novel algorithms and modeling techniques for conversational multimodal systems
- Architect and deliver external-facing APIs that facilitate seamless communication between different developer and device interfaces
- Collaborate with Applied Scientists to optimize and scale machine learning models for production environments
- Drive technical excellence through system architecture decisions and establishment of best practices
- Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software against ambitious timelines

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
