Overview

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to support the Amazon Music finance team. You'll work with large datasets and develop reporting solutions to answer key business questions. This role requires strong communication skills and experience with data management.

You have a strong background in business intelligence, with experience in designing, creating, and managing large datasets. Your excellent communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with business owners to define key business questions and develop data sets that provide insightful answers. You are self-motivated and committed to deriving insights from analytics, always looking for opportunities to enhance customer experiences.

You possess a deep understanding of data warehouse environments and are skilled in implementing stable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions to flow data from production systems into the data warehouse. Your ability to work with business customers to understand their requirements and implement reporting solutions is a key strength. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team focused on delivering exceptional results.

Desirable

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus, as is familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualization. You may also have experience in finance operations or analytics, which would further enhance your ability to support the finance team effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Amazon Music finance team by leveraging your expertise in business intelligence. You will work within one of the world's largest and most complex data warehouse environments, ensuring that data flows seamlessly from production systems into the data warehouse. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing reporting solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders.

You will engage with business owners to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable insights. This involves developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that drive decision-making processes. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimizing data management practices.

Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively communicated and utilized. Your ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner will be crucial in influencing business strategies and outcomes.
