Cloudflare is hiring a Security Researcher & Analyst in Application Security to enhance the security of internet applications. You'll work with Cloudflare's extensive network to detect and mitigate malicious HTTP requests. This role requires experience in application security and a strong understanding of web technologies.
You have a strong background in application security, with experience in identifying and mitigating security threats in web applications. You are familiar with various security frameworks and best practices, and you understand the importance of protecting user data and maintaining application integrity. You are a curious and empathetic individual who is committed to continuous learning and development in the field of security. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
Experience with Cloudflare's security products or similar technologies is a plus. Familiarity with web application firewalls (WAF) and intrusion detection systems (IDS) will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing web traffic patterns to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with the Application Security team to develop and implement strategies for detecting and mitigating malicious requests. Your role will involve conducting security assessments and audits of applications to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. You will also collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into the development lifecycle, ensuring that security is a priority from the outset.
You will participate in incident response activities, helping to investigate and remediate security incidents as they arise. Your insights will be crucial in refining Cloudflare's security protocols and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization.
